Squishy cake tutorial (UPDATE)

Let's see it's 3 a.m in the morning was just lying in bed thinking "I'm gonna make a squishy cake later today for my niece". Then all of a sudden like Gru says in "Despicable me" ..."Lightbulb"!

Why not do a tutorial *shrugs* ...so everybody I know this is a blog I do mostly for sims but hey I don't see anything wrong with doing a tutorial on squishy's here!

UPDATE!!!

Whew finally finished,it does take awhile to finish these squishy's but they are worth it I say!

Okay!

These are the Supplies that are needed

1. Sponge or foam (I recommend density foam cause my sponge is very thick)

2. DAP Alex Plus Acrylic Latex Caulk Plus Silicone (Get the tube it's less messy)

3. Glitter (optional)

4. Utility knife

5. Toothpick (s)

6. Marker

7. Decorating cake tips (optional)

8. Acrylic paint (optional)

9. Fabric paint (Dimensional/3d)

If you decide to get density foam,after your finished cutting your slice you will have to paint it with Acrylic paint

your choice of color and that will take 1-3 hours to dry,You can also do that with your sponge if you don't like the color!

Also have some baby wipes/handwipes by your side (It could get messy)

These are optional as well you can decorate your cake with deco

and little cookies which you can make with polymer clay like those I made myself up above... or not ...I'm

just doing a simple one today! :)

I'm also using Fabric paint for the drippings which you can get at your local craft store!

The other supplies you can get at craft stores but the caulk and knife you get at Hardware stores!

If you are a child have your parents/guardian help you with this as this

can be very dangerous !

If you are an Adult be careful and do it at your own risk!

Also I wouldn't recomend giving these to toddlers or babies,it could be

very Hazardous!

TUTORIAL

Draw a triangle on your sponge/foam with your marker

Then cut with utility knife

It doesn't have to be perfect : D

If you decide to get density foam,after your finished cutting your slice you will have to paint it with Acrylic paint

your choice of color and that will take 1-3 hours to dry,You can also do that with your sponge if you don't like the color! Then you can do the next step!

Take your fabric paint and make your drippings

I bite my nails...very bad habit I have lol!

Do the sides (Don't worry the fabric paint stays where you put it)

Wait 4 hours for the fabric paint to dry before you do the next step!!!

squeeze your icing (caulk) on top

You could use your cake tips to make a better design but I'm not using

them in this tutorial! : )

Take your toothpick and swirl the icing around to cover the top

repeat if you have to,to put on a thick layer

Make sure you do the back as well!

Sprinkle your glitter on top and

your done!

It takes bout 8- 12 hours for the caulk to dry!

You know those consignment stores EA gave us?...never really liked them,so I thought why not build a smaller somewhat nicer looking one! Heck it even looks more country(That's why I called it Carolina's) than I wanted it to be but I think it would look fine in any world!

Oh also I was inspired to build this by a building I saw in the background of a movie called Back to the Future! ;)

Hello Everybody!

Just want to say apologies for not updating much lately! The reason is my Hubby and I just brought home an adorable persian! I haven't been into doing anything sims for the past week!

Her name is Puddin! We love her to bits and she is really sweet!

Ha no just joking there she is cute and funny and my hubby and I just love her...she's still getting used to her new home but she is doing good! She just loves kneading the air when I pet her,so cute! I've thought about video taping her with my camera and sharing them with ya'll sometime...but I don't know yet haven't made up my mind lol!

Hello everybody!

I said in a earlier post that I've been doing something ...a little hobby...I've been making what's called squishy's....they look like cakes...desserts etc.

I saw some tutorials of them on Youtube and just fell in love with it...so yeah I pretty much know that younger girls do this kind of thing..but there are older ones doing it too and I don't think it says in the bible or the U.S constitution that a 31 year old (moi) can't do it! ; )

Anyways I have a pic of 2 I've already done...they aren't perfect I know that...but what's that old saying? "Practice makes perfect" ...so the more I practice the better I get!

Okay now on with what's coming soon!
I found some pretty cool patterns done by an Illustrator and designer Julia Rothman...and well I can't do patterns but I can turn them into panels for our game Sims 3 :D

Hello everybody!

Well I have to say this is quite different to what I usually upload but I had to do it....one of my favorite make-up gurus on Youtube KlairedelysArt inspired me to do this type of face make-up I really liked it and thought it would look cool on our Sims...it was alot of work and did the best I could do!

I've been really nervous on putting this out cause it's my first time at doing anything with make-up...it's not perfect but I think it's good enough to share and I hope you like it! ^_^

I didn't do the eyeliner part cause you can just put eyeliner on with it anyways! ; )

Pink House!

Hey ya'll!

I went to digging in my pictures folder yesterday and found this picture of a unique looking house I've had in there for about a year a little over..and decided to build it...yes I know most of the outside isn't pink but some of it is and it's pink just about everywhere on the inside with some brown..I kinda think pink and brown colors go great together in interior and exterior decorating ;)

I guess you can say this house is for those YA/A female sims who are single! I tried my best to build it as similar as I could to the one in the pic! I hope ya'll like it! :D

READ this please!!!

There is one tiny problem..the roof pattern that I have used on this house which is cool but when you go into your game, edit town or quit game then come back it looks like there is a couple of little holes in the roof so you'll have to either go into Roof types and press hipped roof then it will go away(but you'll have to do it each time you go into game), ignore it...or just pick a EA roof pattern an never have to deal with it again!

EDIT: Also I forgot to put the alarms in the house >__<

I just wanted to post this as to a remembrance of 9/1/01

It has been 10 years since it happened but it is still heartbreaking with what happened that day.
I want to say GOD Bless those who lost a loved one on that tragic day and GOD rest their soul to the innocent people that died that day also!

I might not have been there but it was Heartbreaking for me and every American....and we came together that day!

Trip to Beach

Hey everybody!

Well my Husband and I took a trip to the Beach yesterday,we don't live too far...and I got a bit scorched..even my bottom lip on my face..its so swollen it looks as if I'm pouting LOL,BUT I had a Wonderful time cause I haven't been to the beach in ages and I LOVE it there!

We went to Ft Walton Beach FL and it is Beautiful! I remember going there when I was little....but it sure has changed (the town) since I've last been there but that's alright I still enjoyed it! Anyways I thought I'd show a few pics I shot down there ;)

This next pic a really nice couple we met got out their U.S. flag and stuck it in the sand...which I told Russell next time we are bringing an American flag :) ...anyways a couple of hours later one of their friends came and he had a pirate flag that said "Time flies when your drinking Rum" LOL!

I've never uploaded a sim before...so this is my first time and I hope you like her :)

RAYA SWEET

Raya Sweet is 21 years old was born and raised in Atlanta Georgia with her Mom and Dad and 5 brothers,that's probably why she is a bit tough and brave! Some people mistaken her as a rebel when she was a teen cause she snuck into bars (that's because she wanted to watch the mixologists)got her self a tattoo..which she regrets now of getting that tramp stamp and hoping one day to get it taken off when she can afford it! Some people mistaken her as love em and leave em chick but really she wants to find the man of her dreams and start a family!

Of course it isn't gonna be easy for her when she starts her career in Mixology which she has been wanting to do since she was 10 and saw her Uncle fix a drink that made her aunt a little bonkers one night which made her laugh so hard it made chocolate milk come out her nose! Anyways as I was saying it isn't gonna be easy for her cause she knows that saying "Never date a guy that you met at a bar" ...she's heard it a gazillion times and she's seen it too! Really she is a sweet young lady with a good sense of humor who wants to meet her night in shining armor and start a family...but beware she'll tend to come home with something that doesn't belong to her. ;)

Hey Everyone!

Yeah I know weird name for a post LOL! But believe me this was just gonna be a post of something new I did for ya'll to download but quite alot has happened the past week and I just got to get this off my chest...

First I just want to say I feel very blessed with what happened last week here in Alabama and other states around us...it goes to show GOD is powerful (*thinks: And I mean that in a good way LORD*) I'm sure alot of you saw what happened on the news with the tornados coming through our states,alot of people died and alot are missing still and I mourn for those who died and pray for those who lost a loved one,GOD rest their soul!

*Sighs* And tis a Great day today! For America...for the whole World I might add and I think you all know what I'm talking about! I love my Country,I'm proud of my Country and the Troops! I know terrorism is not over with completely but we all can sigh of relief that that Monster (Bin Laden) is gone...And I'm not afraid to say he is finally DEAD!

Hey everyone!

I got some stuff for ya'll and yeah I know it's been awhile since I uploaded something..or have even said something on here...one of the reasons is because everytime I did a project it would turn out really bad lol ,but finally I've done a couple of projects that I thought you all would like and they aren't that bad ;)

Ok first off I wanna say this first one is based off of a painting/drawing that has been around...hmm well let's just say alot longer than I've been living! My Hubby and I were talking one day and he told me about this painting/drawing

So I made a poster kinda like it except there is a Grim Reaper and Sim, I made the painting myself with my photoshop and I used Mischino_K's Grim reaper for the pics, I have to say it isn't that perfect but I did the best I could and I hope ya'll like it...it kinda makes me gigggle sometimes when I look at it hehe ;)

I found these questions on a friends blog (Portia's) the other day and thought I'd try it!

1. Were you named after anyone? Actually it's a funny story..my mom told me after I was born she told them that my name was to be Manda...cause my mom's name is Wanda....well they put down Amanda instead on my birth certificate....Thank you whoever you are! :^D

2. When was the last time you cried? Last week when I watched Toy story 3...I'm a sucker for Pixar movies lol!

3. Do you like your handwriting? Not really!

4. What is your favorite lunchmeat? Turkey....gobble gobble! ;)

5. Do you have kids? Biologically no! Stepkids....yes I do,I have 3 stepdaughters and I love them very much.

6. If you were another person,would you be friends with you? Heck yeah! I might be a bit goofy but I do think I'm honest and caring when it comes to friendship!

Hello everybody!

I just want to let you all know that I'm ok and the doctors felt like I was well enough to go home today. I do still have some pain off and on,and have that...well you ... you know the feeling you get when you've been pumped full of Sodium chloride and drugs for days in the hospital hehe! Anyways I'm still gonna have to be checked once a week so they can find out how my kidneys are doing and to see if I need to be put on the list or not...so it's not quite over yet...but at least I'm at home and they are functioning at the moment,I thank God for that and will always love him forever and ever he's always helped me through these times!as well as my Family and friends!

I want to Thank you all from the bottom of my heart your support and prayers,you have no idea how grateful I am. I have missed ya'll and can't wait to get back into doing something for Sims 3....but it's gonna have to wait for awhile. I was really looking forward to doing this blog train again *sighs* ...maybe we'll do one in the near future! I love you all,God Bless you all and take care!

Amanda is in Hospital!

This is a blog to : Shannon, Portia, Rebecca, Erica, Chicagostorm, Samantha and Kim.
Amanda is currently in the Hospital and is not able to log on right now. She also would like to tell you that she will not be able to participate in the "Project" this time around. She wants you to know that she misses you all and she will return as soon as possible.
I know you guys may be wondering what is wrong...I can say that she has had a dramatic kidney failure. A procedure to correct large vessal formation on her kidneys was performed and things turned out worse after wards than expected by the doctors. She is holding her own right now and is going to be ok. She has a lot of pain but the Doctors are trying to see if what is left of her Kidneys will recover enough so she will not have to go on Dialasis right away until a new kidney can be found for her. She sends her love and prayres to you all and asks that you guys say a prayer for her also for healing!
This is her Husband Russell typing this for her at her request.

Hi everyone!

I hope all is well for you all and ya'll are having a good weekend! :)

For me...I'm very sad and quite furious right now and I just got to get this off my chest....Y'see not to long ago My family and I lost a cat that we all loved dearly,we love all our cats dearly..anyways his name was Boxer he was your typical sweet cat who loved to be the top male cat in the neighborhood lol...I was depressed for days after he died in our backyard...we didn't know what was wrong with him....if he was hit by a car or if he got bit by a snake or what...well days later another dear cat of ours lil Tom started to act the same way as Boxer did....he was staring at the waterbowl for hours,his face was swollen and he smelled like the dead...well he died but he went into the woods and died.

Ok so we have 3 female cats left who we love dearly and now one of them,Toodles is acting the same way...she has no broken bones so she wasn't hit by a car...so my Hubby and I have been thinking it through and he actually went online to look all this up..with their conditions..well it seems to be that there is an evil person in our neighborhood who has been poisining our cats with glycol...I want to find out who the low-life is that is doing all that and beat the living hell out of them! That's how I feel right now! I know I can't go and roam around in other peoples yard,it's illegal..and of course I know what they are doing is illegal,and my husband and I don't have the money to take her to the vet....so rediculous how expensive it is nowadays to save a person's life as well as a animal's life! All I can do is pray! I just hope this doesn't happen to the rest of our cat's...Eva and Angie are pretty good on staying around our yard...believe me I would love to have them in the house but my Hubby don't want any pets in our house. Anyways I just needed to get that off my chest.Thanks for listening ya'll!

Hey Everyone! *coughs*...*blows nose*

That's right I've got a nasty cold right now....that's why nothing much has been happening in these neck of the woods. But I'll be coming back soon with some more cc for all of you and those darling sims of ours : )

Ok...this is gonna be hard for me to say but I gotta say it......I"ve lost my Haunted house I made!........ IT SUCKS! I have been working on that thing for over a month...and then when I installed Late night all h*** broke loose!
Not to mention that I asked RD to help me with it and now it's *raspberries* gone!....so It's not coming out anytime soon....maybe in the near future when I get in the mood to build it again...then I'll release it....I'm upset about it....and poor RD she made me some Awsome old signs for it!....Thank you again RD for your help....I feel sooo bad that I let that happen....I didn't let it happen on purpose...but it happened!....ok I gotta move on here.....

Alright a couple of weeks ago I thought Box was giving me a hard time with uploading package files...so I decided to try mediafire...well I still can't upload package files...and I'm thinking it's TSR workshop that's giving me that problem...some people have said that there are problems with it...so I apologise that I'm having to give you all just sims3package and can't give you packagefile...maybe I should switch to some other program...I don't know...and also I want to say that I'm still a bit of a newbie on creating sooo...I'm not completely sure if you have to have the meshes that I tell you that you need below some of the paintings I've done...if the mesh comes with it or not? ... whoa wait...actually I think the meshes do come with it...HOT DOG I just learned something today people!...well I'll still have the links of where the meshes came from still...anyways...let's get to the update...*shaking head at self*

Salvador Dali Paintings!

I've always been fond of the painting "The Persistence of Memory" by Famous Surrealist Painter Salvador Dali! But it never cossed my mind to make his paintings into...paintings for Sims 3 ...until a couple of days ago when I used his painting for a background of one of my pics of showing off my clocks ...quite a few people thought I made Salvador paintings O__o...I kinda felt bad....so I decided to turn them into paintings for all of you who would like his paintings in your Sims homes! :)

Hello my name is Amanda (I'm sure some of you know that already). I love playing Sims 3 when I ain't got nothing else to do lol and I really enjoy creating houses and decorating them so I've decided to share them.
